Claudia Suszczynska advises clients across various industries on mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, and corporate governance matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Claudia was an associate in the Business and Finance Group at HMB Legal Counsel, a well-established, corporate-focused law firm based in Chicago, Illinois where she focused her practice on transactional, general counsel, and cannabis matters. She also acted as outside general counsel to clients on day-to-day operational matters including drafting and negotiating agreements, assisting with intellectual property matters, and providing guidance on cannabis regulations and compliance. Previously, she served as a law clerk at HMB Legal Counsel where she partnered with attorneys on a range of general corporate matters.
While attending the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, Claudia was a student attorney in its Intellectual Property Trademark Clinic where she aided clients in obtaining federal trademark protection for their businesses. She was an Octofinalist and Top 5 Petitioner’s Brief Author in the Dean Fred F. Herzog Moot Court Competition in the fall of 2021. Claudia was also a law clerk at a boutique intellectual property law firm based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where she worked on anti-counterfeiting and brand protection efforts for luxury brands.
Claudia was recognized in 2025 as one of the "Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch" for Mergers and Acquisitions Law by The Best Lawyers in America®.
